Experts at a seminar laid importance on conducting time-befitting and need-based research works to utilise the findings for further speeding up national development.
They came up with the observation at the seminar styled ‘Research and Development: Bangladesh Perspective’ held on Friday at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) in Rangpur.
Dr Wazed Research and Training Institute (DWRTI) of the university organised the seminar at the virtual class room in academic building no-02 on the campus, said a press release.
Director of DWRTI and Vice-Chancellor of BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah formally inaugurated the seminar in the launching session.
Chief Executive of the Association for Realization for Basic Needs (ARBAN) Mohammad Kamal Uddin conducted the seminar as the main discussant.
Research Officer of DWRTI Md Rokunuzzaman delivered welcome speech in the seminar moderated by Assistant Administrator of the Public Relations, Information and Publication Division of BRUR Tabiur Rahman.
Research fellows of DWRTI, its officials, teachers and students of different departments of the university participated in the seminar.
In his presentation, Mohammad Kamal Uddin discussed about various data and statistics of different research works conducted on development and other related sectors under different aspects in the perspectives of Bangladesh.
He also narrated about the techniques and methodologies for conducting research works on developments to achieve better results and answered questions asked by participating researchers, teachers and students.
Professor Kalimullah put emphasis on collecting necessary information, data, statistics and technologies from both home and abroad to effectively utilise those in research works on developments to get excellent results.
