Tributes and condolences continue to pour in for noted actress of Bangla film Sarah Begum Kabori who passed away early on Saturday at Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in the city at the age of 70.
Immediately after her demise, people from all walks of life as well as different political parties and leaders expressed their shock and sent condolences.
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed their profound shock and sorrow at the death of Kabori.
In separate messages of condolence, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, in separate condolence messages, Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Deputy Speaker Advocate Md Fazle Rabbi Miah, Deputy Leader of the House Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury condoled the death of the veteran actress.
A number of cabinet members also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the two-time National Film Award-winning personality.
