Ministers and state ministers expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malque’s mother Fouzia Maleque. In separate condolence messages on Thursday, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Liberation Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque mourned her death.
Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali and State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russel also expressed deep shock at her death.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family.
Fouzia Maleque died of asthma and old age complications while undergoing treatment at AMZ Hospital in the capital around 6.30pm today at the age 84.
