Condolences poured in for Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi, who passed away on Friday evening at a Dhaka hospital at the age of 102.
In separate condolence messages, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death Ahmed Shafi.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and Religious Affairs Ministry’s Secretary Md. Nurul Islam also mourned his death.
