Condolence meet for CUET student held

A condolence meeting over the death of Nakib Mohammad Khabbar, a student of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), whose body was recovered from the Bay of Bengal after he had gone missing, held at the central hall of CUET today. Among others, vice chancellor (VC) of CUET Professor Dr Mohammed Jahangir Alam, dean of civil engineering faculty Professor Dr Mohammed Hajrat Ali, register Professor Dr Farukujjaman Chowdhury, chairman of Civil Engineering Department Professor Dr Mohammed Abdur Rahman Bhuyan, director of students’ welfare Professor Dr Mohammed Moshiul Haque, vice president of CUET teachers’ association Professor Dr Mohammed Shamsul Arefin, Achintya Kumar Chakrabarti, Mohamnmad Jamal Uddin, Mohammed Sakibul Alam, Rakib Hasan Tomal and Nasir Ahmed addressed the meeting.
Speakers expressed deep shock over the death of Nakib Mohammad Khabbar. Addressing the meeting, VC of CUET Professor Dr Mohammed Jahangir Alam said, “Nakib Mohammad Khabbar had a chance to serve the country as a civil engineer but, with his unwanted death, the country has lost a brilliant student as well as future civil engineer.”
