Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy MP underlined the need for concerted efforts of all including judicial officers, lawyers and administrative machineries to ensure the government’s legal aid service for all the justice seekers especially the distress and unprivileged section of people of the society.  
The Deputy Minister Joy was speaking as guest of honor at a discussion meeting held at the conference room of Netrakona Circuit House here on Saturday under the auspices of District Legal Aid Committee marking the National Legal Aid Service Day -2018.
Chaired by President of District Legal Aid Committee and District and Session Judge Netrakona KM Rasheduzzaman Raza, the key note paper of the meeting was presented by Advocate Nazrul Islam Khan.
It was addressed, among others , by Judge of District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Mohammad Rukunuzzaman , Deputy Commissioner of Netrakona Main-UL -Islam, Acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Netrakona Alamgir Hussain, additional police super Netrakona Shahjahan Mia, prominent social worker Begum Rokeya and General Secretary of District Bar Association Netrakona Safiul Hasan Monju.
In his presidential speech district and session judge and president of the district legal aid committee KM Rasheduzzaaman Raza said, it is not possible for only the judiciary or the government’s legal aid committees to ensure quick delivery of legal aid service to the poverty-stricken or disadvantaged people of the society, rather it would be possible and easier to reach the legal aid networks at the grass-root levels of the society by making concerted efforts of all.
In this context, the District Judge Raza called upon the journalists to highlight the functions of the government’s legal aid service committees to the distress and disadvantaged people and inspired them to take the service without any cost and fear whenever they need the service for protection of their fundamental rights.
Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out from the district judge court premises under the auspices of district legal aid committee and the rally was ended at the same place after parading the main roads of the town.
