Computer Source and Apex Gladiators moved into the semi-finals of the Raman Lamba & Daulat-uz-Zaman Trophy on Friday.
In the day’s first match, Computer Source defeated JF International by six wickets at the central playground of Dhaka University.
Sent into bat first, JF International scored 182 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Computer Source sailed home making 183 for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs.
Badhon of Computer Source scored 70 runs and took one wicket for 25 runs. Badhon was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
In the day’s second match, Apex Gladiators beat Dhaka Indian by 44 runs at the same venue.
Electing to bat first, Apex Gladiators made 200 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs and then they restricted Dhaka Indian to 156 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Iqbal and Sumon of Apex Gladiators notched up 44 runs each.
Former player of Bangladesh National Cricket team Mohammad Ashraful scored 28 runs for the winners.
Ripon of Apex Gladiators hit a hat-trick. He captured four wickets for 30 runs. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance.
