Competitions on Bangabandhu’s 7 March speech begin today

Bangladesh Shishu Academy is organizing different types of competitions for students on the historic 7 March speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from tomorrow across the country.
The competitions titled ‘March 7, 1971: What do you think?’ is being held hailing the UNESCO recognition of Bangabandhu’s historic 7 March speech as a world documentary heritage, Shishu Academy Director Anjir Liton told BSS on Thursday.
The competitions will be held on painting, essay writing, writing captions for the picture of 7 March speech and rhyme writing.
The programme will begin today with painting competition titled ‘March 7, 1971’ at 71 branches of the Shishu Academy across the country, including Dhaka, he said.
In the capital city, the painting competition will be held at 3 pm at the Shishu Academy here, Liton said, adding the titles of essay and caption writing are ‘Our Bangabandhu’ and ‘Caption of the Picture of Bangabandhu’s Historic 7 March Speech in Your Thoughts’ respectively.
The title of rhyme writing is ‘Rhyme Writing on Bangabandhu’, the academy director said.
The students aged up to 16 years can take part in the competitions, Liton said, adding that the paintings, essays, captions and rhymes have to be sent by December 10 to the following address – Director, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Duyel Chattar, Shahbag, Dhaka.
