Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Ministry urged the ministries concerned to take immediate measures to give due compensation to those affected by natural calamities in the hilly region.
It also passed recommendations to fill up the vacant posts in different government offices in CHT. The suggestions came at the 11th meeting of the committee held on Thursday at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman R A M Ubaidul Moktadir in the chair.
