Thousands of commuters as well as heavy vehicle drivers are suffering much due to bad shape of Belonia – Parashuram link road for a long time.
The awful condition of some 6 -kilometre long road has been causing great suffering to the users as repairing work is going on in slowly . Due to barricade in the way of Belonia to Parashuram , the passenger and goods caring long vehicles have to spend extra thirty to forty minutes everyday.
Victims said, since Belonia is a land port and immigration center so thousands of people from every corner of the country use the road everyday facing serious problems. The suffering is beyond description when they need to take a critical patient to Upazilla Hospital from the Belonia area, they added.
Everyday several road accidents are occurring for the bad shape of the road, said pedestrian Abdul Matin. The authority does not heed to the suffering of commuters at all, he added .
