Community Policing Day was observed in the district today with a view to strengthening community policing. Marking the day, a colourful rally was brought out in the district town.
A discussion was also held at the District Community Policing Office. Manikganj District Council Chairman Advocate Golam Mohiuddin was present at the function as the chief guest with Superintendent of Police (SP) Golam Azad Khan in the chair.
The discussion was addressed, among others, by District Awami League Secretary Advocate Abdus Salam, Manikganj Municipality Mazor Md. Ramjan Ali, Manikganj Diabetic Samity Secretary AFM Sultanul Azam Khan Apel, District Awami League Finance Secretary Abdur Rahim Khan, Community Policing District President Habibur Rahman Sarker, Secretary Engineer Salam Chowdhury and Coordinator Additional S P Hafijur Rahman.
