The Community Policing Day-2020 was observed in Bagerhat town and its all the nine Upazilas in a befitting manner on Saturday as else where of the country. On the occasion a lively discussion meeting was held in the local Swadhinata Udyan at noon with Pankaj Chandra Roy, Police Super of Bagerhat in the chair. Md. Mamunur Rashid, DC, Bagerhat while was addressed the meeting as the chief guest he told, Community Policing committees are playing an important role in the country, particularly in the rural areas to curb the social crimes.
So, I wish its longevity. It was also addressed among others by Dr. K M Humayun, Civil Surgeon of Bagerhat, Mir Shafin Mahmud, Additional Police Super, Bagerhat, Sardar Nasir Uddin, Upazila Chairman of Bagerhat Sadar, Adv. Md. Mozaffor Hossain, President of Bagerhat District Community Policing Co-ordination Committee, Adv. Shah Alam Tuku, General Secretary of the committee, Al-haj Abdul Baki Talukdar, General Secretary of Bagerhat Press Club, Rajia Parvin, Woman Vice-chairman of Bagerhat Sdar Upazila Parishad, Adv. Sharifa Khatun, a leader of Bagerhat Mahila Awami League, H M Shahin, APS of Shaikh Tonmoy, MP of Bagerhat Constituency-2. The meeting was attended by the high officials and people from all walks of life.
