The Commercial version of “Truck Lagbe” apps was launched on Wednesday at ICT Tower in the city. Beneficiaries of Truck Lagbe mobile app attended the program along with team members of the app and high officials of iDEA project of ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, says a media release.
Among guests there were Kazi Hosna Ara, Deputy Project Director (Administration), Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy, Information and Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Mir Hossain Ekram, Chief Operating Officer, Truck Lagbe and Anayet Rashid, Chief Executive Officer, Truck Lagbe. Anayet Rashid delivered speech and informed everyone about features of newly launched commercial version of Truck Lagbe mobile app.
It was released in Google Play Store during last week of August 2018. This free app is useful to hire truck from anywhere in Bangladesh. Once anyone makes a truck request in the app, it immediately sends notifications to nearby truck drivers. It results in hiring truck within few minutes. Pricing of a trip is finalized through lowest bid among interested truck operators. Thus it makes sure that shippers hire it at competitive market price.
Brilliant Ideas Limited launched beta version of Truck Lagbe mobile app for truck owners in July 2017. Since then more than 8000 truck owners downloaded the app and registered more than 10000 trucks to this app. Again beta version of Truck Lagbe mobile app for shippers was launched in October 2017 and it had been downloaded to more than 12000 shippers’ android devices.
