UNB, Dhaka :
A fire broke out in a commercial building in the city’s Mouchak area on Friday.
Fire Service sources said, the fire originated in the 2nd floor of 90/B, New Circular Road at around 1 pm.
Talking to UNB, Nazrul Islam, senior station officer of Khilgaon fire station, said explosion of electric transformers outside the
building might have caused the fire.
The fire sparked from the transformer spread to the a homeo pharmacy, three doctors academy and two offices located on the second floor of the building. On information, two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame after half an hour. Losses caused by the fire could not be immediately known.
