Commemorative stamp issued on 6-Point Demand Announcing Day

The Postal Department on Friday issued a commemorative stamp and an opening envelope marking the historic Six-Point Demand Announcing Day.
On February 5 in 1966, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman launched his historic six-point political and economic programme in Lahore, aiming at attaining greater autonomy for the then East Pakistan in the backdrop of exploitation and discrimination by the then Pakistani rulers.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar unveiled the commemorative stamp worth Taka 10, an opening envelope worth Taka 10, and a data card worth Taka 5 from his official residence on Friday. A special seal was used in this regard, an official press release said.
