Mr Bill Allen, Professor of the School of Journalism of the University of Missouri, Columbia on Tuesday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university.Prof Dr A J M Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Department of Television and Film Studies of DU and Khairul Kabir, former Director General of Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development were present on the occasion. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially development of education and research on broad-casting journalism and agricultural reporting in Bangladesh.
They also discussed possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes on various issues including journalism education between the University of Dhaka and University of Missouri, Columbia.
