A collision in between two lighterage vessels occurred at No.14 jetty of Chittagong Port following the unexpected gusty wind with hail storm on Friday afternoon. Lighterage vessel MV Abdul Barek -3 was leaked at bottom of the hedge by the collision of another oil tanker while taking berth in the berth during the dusty wind. Sources said anchored vessel Abdul Barek was leaked at bottom by pushing with the collision of oil tanker. The sailors saved the vessel from sinking as they beached the vessel in the char land immediately.
No crews were injured in these both vessels, sources said. The navigation of the vessel in port channel remains normal. The master of the vessels told that till the repair of leaked is done, the vessel could not be sail, sources said.
