Collision of two clinker laden vessels occurred at Chittagong clinker jetty on Friday morning following the thick fog in the port channel . Port sources said on cement clinker laden vessel pushed another anchored vessel at clinker jetty of the port leaves berthed vessels damaged partially and flown away in the channel turning the anchor rope . Member(Admin) of CP Md. Jafar Alam told the media that clinker laden MV Samir pushed MV Gazi at clinker jetty at early morning due to thick fog.
The navigation of the channel was stopped for about 3 hours for this incident , he added.
