College teachers demanded job nationalisation in Barisal

Non -government college-university teachers observed divisional conference demanded their nationalisation of general education and introducing indiscriminate non-communal education system immediately on Saturday.
The meeting was organised by Bangladesh College Bishwabidyalya Shikkhak Samity Teachers Association (BCUTA) regional committee at Barisal Club auditorium in the city.
Adv Talukdar Md Yunus, lawmaker and district AL secretary inaugurated the conference preided over by Jalilur Rahman, district president and addressed among others by Prof. Dr. Nur Muhammad Talukdar, central president, Pricipal Md. Jahangir, secretary general, Principal AKM Mizanur Rahman, Prof. Iktiar Hossain Panna, Prof. Ishwar Chandra Das, Principal Mashiur Rahman, Prof. Nripendranath Baroi, Principal Shah Alam, central and regional leaders of the organisation.
Leaders and activists of the different units of the organisation participated in the day-long meeting.
Speakers of the meeting said that education would never be standardized till the discriminations between government and non-government educational institutions would not be removed.
General education system must be based on scientific approaches and methods without any discrimination and communality to prepare the generation for competing with ages and nations, they stressed.  
They also demanded immediate increase of house rent, medical and festival allowances, and annual increment for the teachers and employees of non-government institutions equal as the government educational institutions.
