A college student was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants at Mijmiji under Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj district on Friday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Rubel, 19, a second year student of Adamjee MW College and son of Nidu Mia from Mijmiji Purbapara in the district.
Police arrested at least three persons in this connection. They were identified as Shah Alam, 19, Shamim, 18, and Rezaul Karim, 20, neighbours of Rubel, police said.
Quoting the locals, Siddhirganj Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Alauddin said that a gang of local miscreants stabbed Rubel to death on the spot around 2:30pm.
The body had been sent to the Narayanganj General Hospital for an autopsy, the police official said. The arrested persons are being interrogated in this connection, the OC said.
