A college student was killed in a road accident in the city’s Moghbazar area on Thursday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Nazmul Huda alias Pial, 20, a third year student of Marketing Department of Government Bangla College at Mirpur. He is son of Md Abul Khayer, resident of Modinabagh in the capital’s Mugda area, police said.
“Pial was injured when a motorcycle hit him at Moghbazar Intersection at 11:30am. Locals rushed him to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DCMH) around 2:00pm. He was declared dead at about 5:00pm,” said Md Bachchu Mia, In-Charge of DMCH Police Outpost.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue after conducting the autopsy, the police official said.
