An honours student of Gurudhayal Govt. College was killed by slitting throat by his cousin at Char-sholakia (Ukailpara), in three -storey flat in the town on Wednesday night at 7.30 pm over family feud. .
The name deceased is Abir Hasan Rahat (21), son of Anowarul Haque in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh lives in kharamputti in Kishoreganj town and an honours 1st year student in Gurudhayal Govt. College.
On other hand, his cousin Zobair Hasan (25) has been accused of killing in this incident. He is the son of Shahidul Haque in Gaital area of the town. They are about cousins.
Zobair Hasan’s elder sister Arifa Sultana said that in the evening Rahat came to teach her son as usual. Jobair suddenly comes home and gets into an argument with Rahat. At one point, Arifa was taken out of the house, locked the door from inside and escaped by slitting Rahat’s throat. Rahat died on the spot. It is known that Arifa’s husband lives abroad. He rented that house 15 days ago. Accused Jubayer Arifar’s own brother. Rahat used to teach his child privately.
Additional SP (Crime & operation) Md.Nure-Alam visiting on spot. Police also arrested killer’s parents named Shahidul Haque, Misses Shahidul and Arifa Sultana in this connection.
Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Mohammad Daud told the New Nation that, Zobair fled after the murder. The body was recovered and sent to Kishoreganj General Hospita l for autopsy.
Additional SP( crime) Md.Nure Alam said, It is not yet known what caused the murder. The details will be informed later after investigation. A case was filed in this incident with Kishorganj model Police station.
Police operation is going on to arrest Zobair Hasan., Additional SP added.
