College student hacked to death in Rajshahi

A college student was hacked to death by some unidentified miscreants beside Bornali intersection of Rajshahi city early Tuesday, khan he was heading towards his home town of Dinajpur to celebrate upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
The deceased has been identified as Fardin Asharia Rabbi, 18. He was a second year student of Rajshahi City College. He was son of one Mozaffar Ali, inhabitant of Mominpur in Parbatipur Police Station of Dinajpur.
Local sources said that some unknown miscreants hacked Rabbi to death on his way to Rajshahi Railway Station after Fazr Azan. Fardin’s bag, wallet and mobile phone set were found beside his body, locals added.
Being informed, police recovered the body from the spot around 6am.
 Golam Ruhul Quddus, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police confirmed the news to media that the body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue.
“Injury marks were found, especially in Fardin’s head. He might have died of excess bleeding from the head,” the official said.
The reason behind the murder could not be known yet.
