A female college student, who allegedly tried to commit suicide by setting herself ablaze at his house in Dakhshin Burischar area in Hathazari upazila on Tuesday night, died at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Jannat Nur Fahima, 18, daughter of Shahjahan Miah and an HSC examinee.Md Amir Hossain, nayek of CMCH outpost, said as family members scolded Fahima over her love affair with a youth she tried to commit suicide by setting fire on her body around 10 pm on Tuesday.Later, she was rushed to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries early in the morning.
