Police recovered four bodies, including a newborn baby, in Dhaka city and Gazipur district on Tuesday, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Iftekhar Hasan Shamim, 20, a student, Monir Hossain, 30, an auto-rickshaw driver, Shamsuddin Mia, 50, a pilling trader, and an unidentified newborn baby, he said.
Dhaka city Kafrul Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Russel Mahmud Sarkar said that a college student committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan in city’s Kafrul area early Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Iftekhar Hasan Shamim, 20, student of Government Titumir College and hailed from Matlab Upazila of Chandpur. Police recovered the hanging body from the area around 1:00am. He said that Shamim might have committed suicide for love matter.
