Shaikh Moniruzzaman Monir (57), Principal of Bagerhat Govt. Technical School and College was killed on the spot when his motor cycle was collided head on with another motor cycle coming from the opposite direction with full speed on Chitalmari-Mollahat Highwa near at Garfa under Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district on Saturday noon, according to a delayed report received here.
At that time Anwar Hossain Mia (38), cyclist of the killer motor cycle was seriously injured.
He was recovered from there and admitted to Mollahat Upazila Health Complex for the first time and later he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment. On the other hand, the locals recovered the dead body of the deceased and took it to his village residence at Garfa (under Mollahat Upazila).
He was the son of one Omor Ali Shaikh of the village.
He left behind wife, 3 daughters and old father to mourn his death.
Golam Kabir. Officer-in-charge of Mollahat PS told, while deceased Moniruzzaman Monir was going home by his motor cycle after performing his Zohor prayer in the local mosque and as soon as he reached the place of occurrence the speeding killer motor cycle collided head on with him.
As a result, he was killed on the spot.
