UNB, Jhalakati :
A female college student was stabbed to death by miscreants outside her house in Nalchity Upazila on Monday.
The deceased, 19-year-old Benazir Zahan Mukta, was a first-year undergraduate student at Jhalakati Government College. She was the daughter of Jahangir Hawladar,
The murder took place at Baroikoron Kapuria.
Quoting family sources, police said Mukta went out of the house after receiving a phone call around 2:30pm. After a loud cry, family members rushed out of the house and found her lying in a pool of blood. She died while being taken to a hospital. Mohammad Solaiman, sub-inspector of Nalchity Police Station, said there were stab wounds to the neck, hands and other parts of the body. The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
