A female college student was killed in a boiler blasted incident at Paschimpara in Sadullapur upazila on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Sharmin Akhter.
Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Sadullapur Police station, said the boiler of a rice mill owned by a Reza Mia went off with a big bang in the morning, injuring Sharmin while she was passing besides the mill.
Later, she died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, he added.
