A college girl was killed by her brother -in- law at Dulabhai’s torture in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj due to a quarrel between husband and wife on Thursday before Iftar.
The deceased was identified as Rokhsana Akhter (18.), daughter of Md. Gias Uddin in Gujadia Haidhan Khali village of Karinganj Upazila and a student of Karimganj Degree College.
The killer Mahbubul Alam Omar (35) has been absconding since the incident. Mahbubul Alam alias Omar is a resident of Modak Para in Karimganj. He is a fruit trader in Karimganj kitchen market.
Police and local sources, Hawa Akter, daughter of Gias Uddin of Gujadia Haidhan Khali village, got married to Mahbubul Alam Omar in 2006. They have one son and one daughter in their family.
