A college student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Sutrapur area in the capital on Thursday.
Sabbir Ahmed, husband of Rafat Raji Tisha, 22, a masters student of Kabi Nazrul Government College, found her hanging from the fan with a long scarf at around 3 pm, said sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Tisha was taken to the DMCH where doctors declared her dead around 3:30pm.
The reason behind the suicide could not be known immediately.
