The online application process for admission into private and government colleges under 2017-18 academic session will begin across the country on Tuesday.
The Education Ministry issued the college admission policy-2017 on Sunday.
The admission seekers will have to apply through online and SMS mentioning names of 10 colleges as per their choice. Besides, they can also apply by sending SMS from any number of teletalk mobile from May 9-26. They can submit their application through www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd.
The first phase of the merit list will be published on June 5 and the admission will begin on June 20 while the results of the second and third phase will be published on June 13 and June 18 respectively and the admission will begin on June 20-22 and June 28-29 respectively.
As per the guidelines, the admission seekers will be able to apply through online by paying Tk 150. The students, however, can apply for admission through SMS by paying Tk 120 for each. The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published across the country on Thursday, showing 80.35 pass percentage, which is 7.94 pc lower than that of the previous year.
