Cold wave likely to improve

The mild cold wave sweeping across the country, especially the north-western region, is likely to improve from Sunday.
“The cold wave has gripped the north-western parts of the country. It is set to linger for two more days. It may be improve from Sunday,” said Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist at the Bangladesh Meteoro
logical Department on Friday. He said, “The met offices found moderate to thick fog at places across the country. The cold wave may be reduced from Sunday.”
However, the cold wave as well the foggy weather condition has improved compared to Thursday. The temperature also has increased on Friday morning, said the meteorologist.
According to the meteorologist, the lowest temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga on Friday while it was 7.9 degrees Celsius at the same district on Thursday.
In Dhaka, the metrological office, it recorded minimum temperature at 13.4 degrees celsius while maximum temperature recorded at 16.2 degrees Celsius.
