Cold-related diseases affect 6,010 people

The number of various cold-related patients are on rise across the country despite increasing of temperature.
According to data of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room released on Wednesday, various cold related diseases affected about 6,010 people in the last 24 hours.
About 971 patients received treatment for
 acute respiratory infection (ARI), while 1,984 were treated for diarrhoea, and 3,055 for fever, jaundice, and inflammation in the eye and skin diseases.
Fifty-seven deaths were reported across the country between November 1 and January 21 due to cold-related diseases.
Experts asked the old age people and children to be aware of cold related diseases. They said the family members should take extra cautionary measures about them especially during cold wave.
