Police in separate operation held six persons with ammunition and yaba pills. In a special operation at Sitakundo upazila, five persons were detained with cocktail, pistols and sharp weapons.
Police conducted the raid on Sunday’s mid night and recovered four cocktails, three pistols, knifes and rods.
The detainees were Rumon Dey, Liton Chandra Dev, Emon Hossain, Rimple Das and Sadona Rani Das, Sitakunda Thana’s officer in charge Iftekahr hasan confirmed it.
Meantime, police in an operation held a drug trafficker with over thousand piece of Yaba pill from Luhagara area at Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar road.
The detainee was identified as Mohammad Munna Huq (36), son of Nurul Huq, hailed from Koiabil village under Chokoria upazilla.
On secret information, a team of Luhagara police raided a Chittagong headed Soudia bus on Monday early morning and recovered the pills.
Mohammad Sulayman, sub-inspector of Luhagara Thana said, Munna used to provide drugs including Yaba to the other parts of the country including Chittagong. A case was registered with Luhagara Thana in the connection.
