The wife of a local Awami League leader had her wrists blown off in a cocktail explosion at her house at Mulbari village in Sonatala upazila on Monday.
Rebeka Sultana Ranja, 35, wife of Rezaul Karim, Digdair union AL general secretary, was admitted to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where she went on a surgery.
Assistant police super Gaziur Rahman said the abandoned cocktail blasted at about 3pm while Rebeka cleaning her kitchen.
