President Abdul Hamid on Thursday said it is the expectation of all that members of the coastguard will work with sincerity and cordiality imbued with patriotism despite having limited resources.
“The coastguard has been able to earn confidence of the people by playing important role at the country’s coastal belt and vast maritime area,” he said in a message on the eve of the 19th anniversary of Bangladesh Coast Guard and “Coast Guard Day 2014”.
President Abdul Hamid lauded present government’s endeavor to turn the Bangladesh coastguard into a promising and skilled force for ensuring security of the vast maritime boundary of the country.
“The proud members of the force have ensure security of the maritime boundary with their talent, skill, discipline and professionalism,” he said adding “in the recent time, the sincerity and patriotism of the force have been appreciated hugely at home and abroad.” the President said.
The President wished gradual success of coastguard and greeted its members on the occasion of the day.
