A truck helper, who suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on his vehicle in Gomastapur upazila on Wednesday night, died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Selim, 25, son of Alaudin of Jalmasmari village in Shibganj upazila of the district.
Miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a potato-laden truck in Nimtala Kathalmore area of Gomastapur upazila around 11:30pm on Wednesday, leaving three people-truck driver Feroz,
30, helper Selim and trader Shaheb, 32 — injured with burns.
They were admitted to the RMCH where Selim succumbed to his injuries on (Thursday) afternoon, said a physician at the hospital.
