The traffic department of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) filed 851 cases against the same number of vehicles for violating traffic rules in the city in the 24 hours, starting from 6:00am on Monday.
Of the cases, a total of 310 cases were filed against the same number of CNG-run auto-rickshaws, says a press release.
The traffic department also realised a total of Tk 4.4 lakh by fining vehicles for violating traffic rules and seized 58 vehicles, including 22 CNG-run auto-rickshaws, for plying without proper documents.
