Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) has ordered to remove all illegal billboards in the port city by three days beginning from Friday.
Owners of the illegal billboards will be arrested if the order is not followed, said a notification.
According to the notification, owners are asked to remove their respective illegal billboards by January 4. Otherwise, they will face arrest.
Meanwhile, police and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) officials conducted a drive removing two illegal billboards from the port city’s WASA and GEC intersection areas on Thursday and nabbed one.
Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge AKM Mohiuddin Selim said that legal action will be taken against the owners of the illegal billboards from January 5.
