Chittagong Metropolitan Police has imposed an alert on its check posts so that no Rohingya could enter the city from South Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar.
CMP Commissioner Md Iqbal Bahar yesterday told The Daily Star that, “If Rohingyas try to enter Chittagong city we have to take legal actions.”
Police sources said seven additional police members were deployed at two check posts on the two major roads. Karnaphuli and Chandgaon police said additional force were deployed at the two check posts at Karnaphuli Shahamanat Bridge and Kalurghat bridge.
