Chittagong Metropolitan Police authority is extending financial assistance to the victims of petrol bombs hurled in a city rickshaw puller at colonet hat in city.
Rickshaw puller Fazlur Rahaman was injured critically following the hurling of petrol bombs in his rickshaw recently . CMP commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandol handed over a compensation cheque for Tk.50 thousand to the son of the rickshaw puller at CMP office premises on Sunday.
Victim rickshaw puller Fazlur now under treatment at burn unit of chittagong medical college hospital, sources said. During handing over cheque, Additional Police commissioner AKM Shahidur Rahaman, Addl Policecommissioner Banaj Kumar Majumder, and Deputy police commissioners were present on the occasion. Rickshaw puller hails from Naogaon district and now residing at Bishwa colony under Akber shah thana area . He was injured by petrol bomb on Friday night at colonel hat area, sources said.
