Police Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Abdul Jalil Mandol said he will follow the directives of Election Commission and Returning officer up to end of city corporation polls .
He disclosed it to the media men while visiting the local Election Office and Returning Officer office at Love Lane in the city yesterday afternoon. During his visit in the district election office, he witnessed the nomination filing scenario at EC office .
CMP commissioner hold discussions with the returning officer for some times. Commissiioner expressed satisfaction over the filing of nomination papers by the aspirants in a festivity mood. He also disclosed that no one will be allowed to violate the election code of conduct and the violators will be dealt seriously.
Ahead of the coming city corporation polls, cmp commissioner is continuously holding views exchange meeting with the locals gradually and called upon the city dwellers to resist any attempt of siege of polling centre, hijacking ballot box and vote purchase by the candidates.
