Commissioner of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police Abdul Jalil Mondal urged upon the owners of the jewellery shops in the port city to install minimum two CCTV camera in each shop.
He calls the jewellery owners while addressing the meeting of views exchange with the leaders of the Bangladesh Jewellery Association, Chittagong unit at CMP Conference hall at 11 am yesterday.
He said list of the jewellery shops will be prepared on the basis of thana jurisdiction very shortly and called them to bring all the jewellery shops under BJA enlisted within the short possible time.
CMP commissioner disclosed that the looted golds are also sold to other jewellery shops by the robbers . He cautions to the owners of the jewellery shop not to purchase the looted golds from any robbers . Among others, Additional police commissioner(Admn& Finance), Addl. Police commissioner(crimes), DCP(Sadar), DCP(South), DCP(North), President of BJA, Senior VP of BJA, General secretary of BJA were present on the occasion.
