Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandol has asked the landowners to rent their houses to the tenants after obtaining their proper and exact information in order to prevent militancy and terrorism in the city.
Otherwise, he said, actions would be taken against the landlords.
He came up with the remarks while exchanging views with the ward councillors of the Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) at the CCC auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
Jalil said, “If any landlord wants to rent his house then he must collect full information of the tenant. If the tenant is found to be a criminal, the landlord would be arrested for the crime, he warned.”If all of you help us then Chittagong would turn into a model city in Bangladesh,” he added.
