The students of Chattogram Medical College staged demonstration followed by sit-in programme infront of administrative building demanding withdrawal of transfer order of the Principal Dr Selim Jahangir.
The students boycotted the classes and joined in the protest programme yesterday morning.
The protest programs begins from 10 am today and the students irrespective of opinions joined the rally in the campus and then staged sit-in-program in front of the main gate of the college.
College Student Sangsad and the Chatra league, CMC unit extended support to the protest programs of the students.
President of CMC Chhatra League unit Habibur Rahman told that students movement for withdrawal of the college/university chief are under going across the country whereas the students of Chattogram Medical College launched program to sustain of the post of Principal which is considerable .
Sources said in an administrative order of Ministry of Health and Family Planning on November 5 last, Principal dr.
Selim Jahangir posted as Professor of Pharmacology Department of the same college and the Professor of Child Health Department of CMC Dr Shamim Hasan has been posted as Principal.
