CMC doctors demand safe workplace

Leaders of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Chattogram Branch have demanded safe workplace for doctors. They also warned that they would be forced to give greater programs for their rights and security. They made this demand in a human chain organized to demand the arrest of Pediatrician Dr Shah Alam’s killers. Unidentified miscreants brutally killed Shah Alam on October 17.
BMA Chattogram Branch President Dr Mujibul Haq Khan presided over the program The human chain was held in front of the main gate of Chattogram Medical College on Monday, Organizing Secretary SM Muizul Akbar Chowdhury, physicians and medical students from all over Chattogram participated in the human chain.Speakers said no accused has been arrested in the last three days – which is very sad. The law and order must ensure the arrest and maximum punishment of the killers.
Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Chancellor Prof Dr Selim Md Jahangir, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nasir Uddin Mahmud, Chattogram Mother and Children Hospital Medical College Pricipal Dr Mostak Ahmed, BMA Vice-President Md Monowarul Haque Shamim, Treasurer Dr Md Ariful Amin, Joint Secretary Dr Md Rabiul Karim, Science Secretary Dr Md Nur Hossain Bhuiyan, Office Secretary Abul Hossain Shaheen and Publicity Secretary Dr Pronoy Kumar Dutt were also present at the programme.
