Clubs, organisers claim BFF’s manipulation over election procedure

A few clubs and district level football organisers claimed that they have lost their voting rights of the upcoming Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) election due to BFF’s partiality. Sunday was the deadline for submitting the councilor’s name of BFF’s affiliate bodies. Some organisers couldn’t send their names as councilors. Some football organisers said it on a press meet at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday.
Alimuzzaman Alam, president of the Nawabpur Sporting Club, has been working with Nawabpur since 2001, although he failed to become a councilor in the upcoming election. He said, “It’s very sad that we have lost our legal rights.” An official of Dilkusha Sporting Club claimed that a paid executive of BFF offered him money for leaving councillorship on behalf of them.
Ex-footballer Hasanuzzaman Khan Bablu, who is a councilor of the Tangail Football Academy, also claimed that same offer was given to him.
 BFF Vice President Badal Roy gave a letter to the BFF President Kazi Salahuddin on Sunday. He demanded to disposal of General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag because he illegally instructed his executives to give a threat to the councilors.
BFF formed a three members committee for disputes councillorships issues, which is headed by Abdus Salam Murshedi, Senior Vice President and another two seniors EC members.
