The closure of educational institutions of the country extended until August 6, Education Ministry said it.
“As the coronavirus situation worsening across the country, the government has extended the closure of all the educational institutions of the country until August 6,” Mohammad Abul Khayer, Public Relations Officer of the Education Ministry said it on Monday.
The government has taken the decision considering the safety of the students amid the global pandemic.
On March 16, the government closed all educational institutions to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new 38 deaths of Covid-19, the death toll now stands at 1,209 till Monday and the death rate at 1.33 percent, Professor Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, said in a press briefing.
The DGHS official said also that more 3,099 people have detected of coronavirus positive in the same span.
The latest figures take the total number of infections in the country to 90,619.
