The closing parade of the Direct Entry Officer (DEO) batch no-2019/A has taken place at the Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) at Patenga in Chattogram.
Area Commander of Chittagong Naval Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf accepted the salute as the chief guest after observing the parade and march-past, said an ISPR press release on Tuesday.
A total of 13 Direct Entry Officers were adorned with rank badges in the programme.
Acting Sub-Lieutenant Umayer Alam attained ‘Bir Srestha Ruhul Amin’ gold medal award by getting highest marks in all subjects. The chief guest recounted the immense contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the Liberation War and paid respects to the deceased navy officers and freedom fighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in 1971.
