A mobile court in Chapainawabganj fined three clinics and four pharmacies of Tk 10,00,000 and recovered date expired and other medicines and medical equipments of unauthorized companies worth Tk. 10,50,000 on Wednesday afternoon. Sources concerned said the mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Md Sarwar Alam and Rapid Action battalion (RAB) Chapainawabganj Camp Commander ASP AKM Enamul Karim, carried out drives against the clinics and pharmacies from 2.30pm to 8pm.
The clinics were fined for unhygienic atmosphere and the pharmacies for selling date expired and other medicines and medical equipments of the unauthorized companies.
The mobile court realised Tk. 3,00,000 from Sheba Clinic, Tk. 2,50,000 from Padma Clinic and Diagnostic Centre, Tk. 1,50,000 from Lab One Medical Service, Tk. 50,000 from Lab One Medical Service Pharmacy, Tk. 1,00,000 from Lal Pharmacy, Tk. 50,000 from Mia Pharmacy and Tk. 1,00,000 from Jahan Pharmacy.
The realised money was deposited with the government treasury.
